ATHERTON — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL. Atherton’s city manager announced that a study session and special Town Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 4 p.m. The preliminary topics include recommendations from the Audit and Finance Committee about Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund, or ERAF, resources.
What residents should know
The town also expects to consider potential appointments to municipal committees. Volunteer committees advise the council on local subjects, while the elected council retains responsibility for actions within its authority.
ERAF-related decisions can influence how municipal leaders allocate or reserve revenues, but the announcement does not identify a final allocation or prove a funding measure has been passed.
Residents interested in the meeting should consult the current agenda and staff reports for specific amounts, candidates, participation rules and any updates to the schedule. A town manager’s advance summary is not a substitute for an official agenda.
California58 will distinguish proposals and possible appointments from decisions formally adopted at the meeting.
